The Company’s diverse product portfolio includes leading brands such as JLGaerial work platforms; JLG, SkyTrak and Lulltelehandlers; and an array of complementary accessories that increase the versatility and efficiency of these products. JLG is an Oshkosh Corporation Company . Within the material handling industry, JLG can be considered a niche company, having focused more on specialized equipment that provides human access to high and difficult places through uniquely designed reach equipment.

Used JLG Skytrak For SaleThe company is named after its founder, John L. Grove, whose business career began in partnership with his brother who together built their crane manufacturing company into an industry leader. JLG Industries, Inc. emerged after a cross country road trip in the late 1960’s with his wife Cora. The new company was to become the world’s leading manufacturer of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling equipment. During the trip, wherein Groves mixed business with pleasure, he discovered a large untapped market for a product that could safely and quickly put people in the air to perform construction and maintenance functions. This conclusion was reached after discussions with business associates along the way and by witnessing a tragic electrocution of two workers on scaffold while the Groves were visiting the Hoover Dam.

Groves joined with two partners, bought a small metal fabrication business and with a crew of 20 workers built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform in 1970.  Technology used in that first platform is still being used by the company today in its development of innovative products to help their customers be more productive and work more safely.

Today, JLG Industries, Inc. is committed to being the provider of choice worldwide for access equipment.
Through leadership, teamwork and dedication, the company vision is to provide world-class excellence in quality, service and delivery to their distributors and customers, opportunity and enrichment for their employees; and superior performance for their shareholders.
